I used to say that I was a self-taught artist, but now I see things differently

 I recognise, for 67 years I have subconsciously been influenced by the greatest artist ever, none other than The Great Creator of the Universe Himself. My humble work is a feeble attempt to capture some of the beauty of His amazing creation that surrounds me.
 When, late in 2009, I first began a concerted effort to produce artworks, I found myself emulating the styles of others. At the same time I was making every effort to establish a strong online presence. One day a successful artist working out of Singapore emailed me to compliment me on my work. She suggested said that she felt I already had my own style and obviously had a passion for the Australian landscape & nature.
  "Paint what you are passionate about" she said "Ad everything else will fall into place!"
I took that advice and it has all fallen into place. (Thank you!)
Having to date sold 21 paintings,I guess I can now call myself an Artist

Apart from Western Australia, my paintings are in other states of Australia, the UK, the US, Taiwan and perhaps elsewhere.

When I am not painting, I am at the beach or in the bush Metal Detecting for lost, buried, submerged or hidden historic artefacts, treasure, coins, rings & other metallic objects.
